Wild catches, Asian offspring and our STENDKER discus fish differ SIGNIFICANTLY in terms of keeping and care needs and also in life expectancy! Therefore, if you have any questions, also on the Internet, please clarify in advance what kind of discus fish it is!
– How much and how often does water have to be changed for discus fish?
That depends on WHICH discus fish you have. A 1 x WEEKLY WATER CHANGE of 30 % is sufficient for our STNKDER discus fish.
– How often do discus fish need to be fed?
That depends on what you feed. For example, feeding our discus fish three times a day with our professional discus food Good Heart is completely sufficient!
We strive for natural growth. If we feed our Good Heart 3 times a day, our STENDKER discu fish are fully grown at around 2-2 1/2 years.
– How much should you feed? That depends on what you feed. With our highly concentrated discus food Good Heart, for example, 1 ½ blisters (7.5 g) per meal is sufficient for 10 discus fish (no matter what size), i.e. approx. 22.5 g daily dose. Please do not overfeed your discuk fish as this will make fish sick!
– Important for the STENDKER discus position:
Either keep them in pairs (from 14 cm in size) or keep them in groups (at least 10 discus fish).
– Further recommendation:
a night light as a guide, it is essential to use air vents, oxidizers or diffusers to supply oxygen.
We hope you enjoy your discus fish!
