Our STENDKER discus fish<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div><div class=\"vc_tta-panel-body\"><div class=\"vc_empty_space\"   style=\"height: 32px\"><span class=\"vc_empty_space_inner\"><\/span><\/div>\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element  text-align: justify;\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We have been breeding our popular STENDKER discus fish for over 55 years in the 3rd generation in Germany and have accustomed our offspring to German tap water values. Our animals are therefore brilliant in colour, very robust, not easily frightened and used to people. Our STENDKER discus fish are DIFFERENT and cannot be compared with the wild caught discus fish from the Amazon.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our water parameters:<\/strong><br \/>\nGH 15, carbonate hardness KH 8,<br \/>\nph value 7, conductance 800 \u03bcs,<br \/>\nat a water temperature of 28\u00b0-30\u00b0C (usually no osmosis system required).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dealer recommendation for water parameters in specialist shops:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We keep our animals with a nitrate value NO3 of approx. 200 mg\/l. Our specialist dealers should therefore not make the water values too good and the NO3 value should be around 100 mg\/l. If you keep our animals at 100 mg\/l nitrate it&#039;s an improvement and if the customer then has 50 mg\/l it&#039;s an improvement again and so it&#039;s ideal for the fish and the customer. A permanent pH value below 8 is important. With a 1 x weekly water change of approx. 30 percent and 3 x daily feeding with our professional discus food Good Heart, our STENDKER discus fish usually have a long life expectancy (up to 15 years).<br \/>\nOur STENDKER discus fish are available in 29 colors and can do all of them<br \/>\nbe socialized with each other without hesitation.<br \/>\nWe do not recommend mixing our STENDKER discus fish with other discus fish from other breeders (danger of bacterial intolerance and different keeping and feeding conditions). Our STENDKER discus fish should be kept in a group of at least 10 discus fish (except for keeping pairs from 14 cm in size) and of course continue to be fed 2-3 times a day with our Good Heart complete feed mixture (as in our breeding farm).<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_tta-panel\" id=\"1648731858678-060c434e-69bb\" data-vc-content=\".vc_tta-panel-body\"><div class=\"vc_tta-panel-heading\"><h4 class=\"vc_tta-panel-title\"><a href=\"#1648731858678-060c434e-69bb\" data-vc-accordion data-vc-container=\".vc_tta-container\"><span class=\"vc_tta-title-text\">2. Aquarium Equipment<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div><div class=\"vc_tta-panel-body\"><div class=\"vc_empty_space\"   style=\"height: 32px\"><span class=\"vc_empty_space_inner\"><\/span><\/div>\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In addition to a heating rod, we recommend a good filter (e.g. Hamburger Matte), an oxidizer, diffuser or air vent for oxygen supply and not to use too bright a light. A daylight tube and also a night light are ideal to avoid frightening the fish and slamming them in front of the pane.<br \/>\nWith our high stocking recommendation, which serves the well-being of the animals, it is absolutely necessary to feed oxygen into the aquarium (also in the sales system in the specialist shop). About 30 minutes after feeding, breathing should be calmer again.<br \/>\nCalm breathing is about one breath per second.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>To raise a group<\/strong> For example, 12 discus fish in 8 cm (the animals of this size are already very robust and also suitable for aquaristic beginners) a 180 liter aquarium is suitable. However, after about 8 months (about 1 year old, 14 cm in size), the animals should then be transferred to a larger aquarium. For example, 450 liters would be ideal for 12-15 adult discus fish. Approximately 30 liters per adult discus fish is ideal for our animals. More liters per adult fish is rather harmful for our STENDKER discus fish.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>For rearing<\/strong> It is NOT better for our SMALL discus fish to be raised in a larger aquarium, as the animals do not feel well, eat less well and therefore do not develop ideally. A SMALLER aquarium is BETTER suitable for rearing and can later be converted into a quarantine aquarium.<br \/>\nHowever, it is also possible to reduce the size of a 450 liter aquarium, for example, with a partition or a hamburger mat so that the rearing group feels more comfortable. As the animals grow, please increase the swimming space again.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Our GERMAN OFFBREEDS do not need substrate or plants, but can be used for visual reasons. Please pay attention to the weekly MULMUNG on the substrate so that no hydrogen sulphide poisoning can form (bubbles rise when you run your finger through the substrate). Discus fish after transport<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div><div class=\"vc_tta-panel-body\"><div class=\"vc_empty_space\"   style=\"height: 32px\"><span class=\"vc_empty_space_inner\"><\/span><\/div>\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Please determine the temperature difference between the transport and your aquarium water upon arrival of the animals (determine with the transport bag closed) If the temperature difference is MORE THAN 4 degrees:<br \/>\nPlease leave the sealed transport bags in the box and fill the box with aquarium water. Adjust 1-2 degrees every hour (no more) until temperature difference is LESS than 4 degrees. Only then can the transport bags be opened and the water adjustment (fill in the aquarium water) can take place.<br \/>\n<strong>DANGER:<\/strong> After opening the bags, the oxygen escapes and the animals should swim in your sales facility after 15 minutes at the LATEST. Otherwise, our animals can suffer from oxygen starvation and the immune system will be significantly weakened, which can lead to illness and even death.<br \/>\nWe are not the wholesaler around the corner. Our animals often have many hours of transport behind them and it would be nice and very important to make the use as gentle as possible. Our animals will thank you with beauty and health.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_tta-panel\" id=\"1648791050591-1feef92d-114d\" data-vc-content=\".vc_tta-panel-body\"><div class=\"vc_tta-panel-heading\"><h4 class=\"vc_tta-panel-title\"><a href=\"#1648791050591-1feef92d-114d\" data-vc-accordion data-vc-container=\".vc_tta-container\"><span class=\"vc_tta-title-text\">4. A high stocking density contributes to better feed intake and well-being of our discus fish.<br \/>\nOur Good Heart is available in 3 varieties (classic, spirulina algae and colour) in 100 g blisters and 500 g flat tablets. Our STENDKER discus fish do not need any variety and NO OTHER FOOD!<br \/>\n<strong>Feeding:<\/strong> Our STENDKER discus fish should continue to receive our Good Heart and no live food that can make our animals sick (please do not feed Tubifex, mussels or red mosquito larvae!!!)<br \/>\nWhat goes with live food as a SNACK, but would not replace a full meal with our Good Heart, for example: black and white mosquito larvae, water fleas (please pay attention to premium quality, as cheap goods often<br \/>\ncontamination or drug residues can be found.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>ATTENTION: Please no other cattle heart compound feed, no granules and no<br \/>\nFeed dry food to our STENDKER discus fish. Ie:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fish up to 10 cm in size, 2 cm fish to 1 liter of water, 8 cm fish, 4 liters of water and for 10 cm fish 5 liters of water. Minimum 10 fish per aquarium. The fish stock in your sales facility should be between the maximum and minimum value so that the animals are doing well. For the end customer, about 30 liters usually count per liter for adult discus fish.<br \/>\nA 450 liter aquarium is ideal for 12-15 adult discus fish. These fish bags are then placed in our original STENDKER transport boxes, which are heated during transport in winter using a heat pack. Here, too, we attach great importance to quality. We offer you the opportunity to obtain our bags, boxes and packaging material from us for your own use at cost price. Just ask our team. We recommend that you pack our discus fish in multiple bags with pure oxygen and give the customer in a transport box with one of our flyers when they buy it (please also refer to Good Heart food and give our recommendations for use, which you can also download from our website (Packaged with pure oxygen or oxygen tablets.)
